Website Updates

Hello everyone, thanks for checking in on the blog page and the CNC website!

It has been a bit slow lately, but this site is due for a complete rebuild.  Taking a bit longer than I expected, but hey, volunteer work does seem to take longer.

However, we are very much alive here.   Thank you for your patience and concern.

CNC Event 2009

CNC (Christian Nudist Convocation) just enjoyed two outstanding weekends at Bluebonnet Naturist Resort in Decatur, Texas (June 12-14) and Avalon Resort in West Virginia (June 26-28).

There were 24 Adults and 14 Children at Blue Bonnet, plus 30 Adults and 7 children at Avalon.  More than the three groups combined last year! Of course, we are not shy when it comes to encouraging growth!  A lot of friendships were developed, with a lot of excitement and encouragement coming from the attendees. Even the locals seem to pick up on the excitement. We felt welcomed everywhere we went. So we thank all the resort owners and members for their open welcome!

The events at Avalon started out on Friday evening with a welcome and getting to know each other discussion session.  Of course, we keep it short and sweet since most of folks come in late enough to be huffing and puffing at the last minute. Saturday started off with a special worship service, followed up by a group discussion and teaching session which leads to a group cookout and lunch over an open fire. Then we picked up for the afternoon session.

The restaurant at Avalon had excellent food, and their hospitality far out performed what we had expected!  Jody, the activities coordinator at Avalon, went out of her way to take care of our needs, even if we didn’t even think of it!  And she had to run the whole park as well that weekend!  We had the use of the Condo Conference Room for our Saturday sessions, and the big Barn for our Sunday church service, which all were welcomed to come.  CNC and I personally thank Jody and Avalon for their outgoing service and open welcome.

Naturally, many of us took advantage of the breaks between sessions to get seriously involved in “Hot Tub Philosophy”!  We had a lot of good discussions about Christianity and our roll in naturism!  Our theme this year was “Reconciliation”, and couple with our “Unity in Christ” theme last year, we saw lots of unity and people being reconciled in their faith and in naturism.  Several women that were “reluctant” at first, are now very excited about what we as a naturist society is doing and what CNC is doing within it.  We are expecting new growth next year.

But of course, we do not limit ourselves to just talking “Christian Talk”.  We have a lot of fun in the pool, playing “volleyball” with a beach ball. The weather was unusually cool with breezes most of the time.  But we still had no reason to get dressed!  It just gave us a bigger excuse to build a bon fire in the large pit in the wooded camp area near the front.  Several of us camped in that area so we can be close to the action.

At BlueBonnet, CNC had full use of the clubhouse; which was a welcomed relief from the extreme heat, humidity and thunderstorms.  Friday night began with a welcome, music and a meet & greet.  We celebrated a birthday and enjoyed cake while fellowshipping for the remainder of the evening.  We began Saturday with additional participants joining the event.  Three wonderful sessions were enjoyed with plenty of free time in between.  The youth participated in activities during all three adult sessions focused on the theme of “Instruments of Peace”.  We ended the events on Sunday with a terrific worship, praise and sermon that focused on man’s Godly role in honor of Father’s Day the following weekend.  We are extremely grateful to Lourdes and Eddy, owners, for their awesome hospitality again this year.

We never know what to expect at a gathering like this, but it seems to get better every year! And with hosts like Blue Bonnet and Avalon, you cannot go wrong!  If you have not visited those clubs, by all means, look them up and enjoy the life!

CNC Theme: Reconciliation

Its been a long time since I wrote anything here.  But we are biiiizzzzyyyy!

CNC is in it’s 2009 season and we will be having our events at, once again, Blue Bonnet resort in Texas, and for the first time at Avalon in West Virginia.

See our website at www.christiannc.com for details.

Sad to say, the famous and well loved Cherokee Resort in Tennessee is now closed and we will not be having any more events there, unless someone buys the resort and turns it back into a naturist resort again.

Our theme for this year is Reconciliation.  Based on 2 Corinthians, 5:17-19 (NIV)

17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Humanity needs to understand  reconciliation, for without it, restoration is not possible.  We can restore humanity to it’s former glory, but without reconciliation, war  will continue and what was built up will only be torn back down.

We need to not only reconcile to humanity but to be reconciled in our lives in Christ.  Reconciliation without Christ is no reconciliation at all, or weak at best.   Reconciliation comes from God, so any reconciliation is because we are of God.

Love comes from God, so any love we have is because we are of God.

May you BE reconciled (live a reconciled life) in Christ.

Building Blogs

We are still working on this blog site, but hopefully, we’ll get it working great. I’m not sure if we can change the scene at the top to our liking or not. I can only find simple layouts that are preset for us. I just choose which one I “like”.

But continuing, we are still updating and building our website, so with God’s blessing, it will get better.

What is CNC?

This may be a shock for many people out there, but CNC stands for Christian Nudist Convocation!

Yes, its a site for Christians who are also Nudists (or Naturists).  This site will support the Christian Naturists and with it, gather them to our growing national gatherings or Convocations.  Three this year!

So what does being a Nudist have any thing to do with being  a Christain?  You can visit many sites that support this idea, by going into a search engine and typing in Christian naturist.  Or you can visit Boyd Allens Christian Naturism  or our Official CNC site.

Don’t worry, there are no pictures there to “offend” you.  Not that the image of God is offensive that I’m aware of.  Is God offended at the site of the human being that he created in his own image and likeness?  I doubt it.

May you be richly blessed by this site and especially by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Boyd Allen
